Our studio and one bedroom apartments offer individuals or couples their own private space with modern facilities. These self-contained apartments include a fully fitted kitchen including a dishwasher, fridge with ice box, breakfast bar, ensuite, study area, and a bedroom area featuring a double bed. In addition a 20″ LCD television that comes with a fully paid TV license, Freeview channels.
Kitchens are fully fitted and each includes an electric cooker with extractor fan, microwave, fridge and freezer. You’ll also have your own dishwasher, so you’ll never have to argue about whose turn it is to wash up! There’s also a dining area with a breakfast bar and stools.Apartments are made up of 4, 5 or 6 ensuite bedrooms, together with shared, fully fitted and furnished kitchen, dining and lounge areas. Each ensuite bedroom comes fully furnished and includes a double-sized bed, desk, pin board, bin, chair, wardrobe, wall-mounted shelving unit, and a 3-drawer unit under the desk. You’ll also have your own shower, wash basin and toilet. Each bathroom is also fitted with a towel rail and bin. Curtains are provided and there’s a wall light. Your apartment is already wired for access to the internet and broadband. If you require a telephone in your room, the connection can be made on the day you move in, and calls between rooms with these telephones will be free of charge.
Each lounge has comfy leather furniture, as well as a 32″ LCD TV, with a fully paid TV license, Freeview channels.
Only Asha House residents carrying a security key fob have access to the building, and each apartment has its own door entry system. Full 24-hour CCTV is in operation in all common areas, a member of the accommodation team is on site 24 hours a day in case of emergency. Smoke and fire detectors are fitted throughout.
Launderette facilities are on the ground floor and are be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week – ideal for those times when you run out of clean knickers!
If you rely on pedal power, there’s a secure bike storage area on the ground floor. You’ll require a key to get in, so just ask the accommodation team when you arrive.

Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes. We ask for a deposit of £150 to be paid when you book your accommodation. The deposit is refundable, subject to a satisfactory inspection at the end of your tenancy
Is broadband access available?
We are very proud of our 100Mb broadband. All you need to do is register when you move in
What if I like living at Asha House so much I want to re-book for next year?
That’s not a problem – many of our residents are returning students who just don’t want to leave! If you want to keep your own room apply early to improve your chances
Can I share an apartment with my friends?
Yes. We have apartments to accommodate different group sizes, ranging from one to six-bedroom apartments. We also have studio and single bedroom apartments which are ideal for couples wanting to share the cost, or individuals who want their own space.
Are any of the bedrooms en-suite?
Yes, all of them are en-suite
Is Asha House on campus?
Asha House is in the town centre whereas the campus is about a mile outside of the town centre
Is the accommodation aimed mainly at freshers?
No, it is open to all students, you can choose who you want to be placed with and we provide apartments that can be exclusive to freshers, graduating students or post graduates
